9/10 – Intense, well structured, intriguing film with plenty going on – it’s not a slow burner, the case unravels quickly but with purpose. As the poster advertises, it’s been written and Directed by Taylor Sheridan who brought us Sicario and Hell or High Water, so the standard and expectation is pretty high (for me at least, as I loved both of those films). It’s visually stunning, it has characters you can invest in, but no doubt some will find fault with it on account of casting a white lead for a Native role.
