The Phone Call (2013)

243) The Phone Call (2013)

Heather is a shy lady who works in a helpline call centre. When she receives a phone call from a mystery man, she has no idea that the encounter will change her life forever.

8/10 – I don’t know if short films count for this challenge, but considering how far off I am, I’m past the point of caring. You can watch this short film here on indiewire. It’s won the award for best short film at Tribeca, and screened last year at the BFI Film Festival in London. It’s clear to see why it stood a chance of winning; it’s simple, effective and has a naturally entrancing way about it. Despite it’s running time of just under 20 minutes, it does more in that time that some full length films even get close to.

Give it a whirl, it’s only 20 minutes. And I’m counting it.
