Gran Torino (2008)

222) Gran Torino (2008)

Disgruntled Korean War veteran Walt Kowalski sets out to reform his neighbor, a Hmong teenager who tried to steal Kowalski’s prized possession: a 1972 Gran Torino.

6/10 – Predictable. I think that best sums it up. A film about a grunting, out of breath, racist war veteran who as the title gives away, owns a Gran Torino. The acting from all involved is really average, at certain points it was if they were going through the motions, reeling off the lines just to get it over and done with. In spite of all of that, it was enjoyable. It’s an easy film to watch, there’s nothing particularly challenging about it and it verges on the absurd at times., but it was enjoyable.
