202) She’s Out Of My League (2010)
An average Joe meets the perfect woman, but his lack of confidence and the influence of his friends and family begin to pick away at the relationship.
5/10 – There’s something incredibly annoying about Jay Baruchel’s character, his droney voice and miserable demeanor did nothing for me from a comedy perspective. Aside from being consistently aggravated by the main character, the film was a nice surprise. Not one from my personal collection, but shown on BBC on Sunday night after spending the entire day feeling groggy, it provided enough gross-out and mindless chat humour to keep me entertained and take my mind off the impending day of work. It’s far from original, formulaic and highly predictable, it’s date movie 101. It’s not a bad thing, it just doesn’t make it that good either.
