A family vacation during the summer of 1985 changes everything for a teenage boy obsessed with ping pong.
5/10 – Good, not great. The jokes misfire, and the entire parody of a 1980’s underdog story was parodied much better by South Park and their ‘Asspen‘ episode. It’s hard to drop the comparison if you’ve seen that episode, because South Park covers more in their 20 minutes than this film does in 90.
If you’re looking for nostalgia, or enjoy watching awkward teenage angst play out in a neon landscape to 80’s electro, then this one is for you.
