115) Mr. Peabody & Sherman (2014)
The time-travelling adventures of an advanced canine and his adopted son, as they endeavor to fix a time rift they created.
6/10 – A fast paced adventure spliced with toilet humour, puns, innuendos and historical references that despite trying to be somewhat educational, the younger audiences won’t ‘get’. The animation felt clunky, comparable to watching a video segment on a Playstation 2 game, and the voices although supplied by a great cast really began to grate on me by the end.
Plenty to enjoy in this one, but when you compare this to the other Dreamworks pictures of recent years like Megamind and Kung Fu Panda, it falls short of expectation.
