An inner-city junior high school teacher with a drug habit forms an unlikely friendship with one of his students after she discovers his secret.
8/10 – Solid performance from Gosling and Shareeka Epps was excellent. The film can come off as a tad pretentious, and the ending was somewhat of a disappointment, but overall it is difficult to fault this unique and intriguing story.
