28) There Will Be Blood (2007)
A story of family, religion, hatred, oil and madness, focusing on a turn-of-the-century prospector in the early days of the business
9/10 – Fantastic film. Especially loved the last 30 minutes of it. Not sure on Daniel Day Lewis’s accent though. Where was he supposed to be from? Thinking about it, there wasn’t a lot of explanation or background for many of the characters. I don’t think it held back the film though, but perhaps some context outside of the little world DDL inhabited wouldn’t have gone a miss.
