13) Sherrybaby (2006)
7/10 – Interesting and believable performance by Maggie Gyllenhaal as she plays an ex-addict struggling to integrate back into society. She has a little help from Danny Trejo who plays a sober Native American bloke but with Gus from Breaking Bad as her parole officer it was always going to spell trouble.
That’s made it sound like a comedy. It really isn’t. It’s quite bleak. Worth a watch.
